Solving Jakarta Traffic Jam

Jakarta's the most whirling things after pollution and flood is Traffic Jam which has frustrated almost all road users. The word "Traffic Jam" is familiar already with most of road users in Jakarta. According to survey done by some group of activist volunteer, 95% of respondents got depressed whenever there is traffic jam in the road while the remaining 5% is unknown. Traffic jam has been jakarta's governor concern since 1970s when jakarta was starting crowded by immigrants and become transforming itself into a new stage that is metropolitan city. The consecutive former governor has introduced many measures to solve the traffic jam problem but the problem is never ending. It's not till some of state's observer says that the city is overcrowded which means the city should be extended or migrate the capital city.

Migrating the capital city is the obvious way for a total complete solution to the problem in a long-term way. As it is advised, the capital city should be migrated to somewhere around Central Kalimantan. The reasons are obvious that is, kalimantan is free from crust-fracture and as one of the site rich in coal which make it possible to support the capital city's demand of energy. On the other hand, Kalimantan has a quite large number of unemployed workforce and with the migrating of capital city, the unemployed would be employed.
Extending the Jakarta's region would be another good choice to solve the current problem in a short-term way. By following the state's masterplan, Jakarta has extended 4 times of it's region decade through decade that is Depok, Bogor, Tanggerang and Bekasi. Extending the city means by issuing a regulation to decentralise the business activity from Jakarta to outside Jakarta. One of the best advantage is the cost involving to solve the traffic jam problem that is cheaper than migrating the capital city.
In conclusion, the state's government should take it considerably in choosing the best possible way in solving the problem. The combination of two would be a wise decision as it would benefits in short term time as well as in long term time.
