It's envisioned and presented by the Microsoft during 2009 Wharton Business Conference. I think they want to wow the investors :D
The technology they presented is not a new technology at all, it's been a while but it's not matured yet.
Let's go through one by one:
✔ The seamless connectivity
It's already at its peak but not yet quite polished. They just want to hold it more years to come so they hope only few bugs would be created. The future shows where every device where networked together(connected to the internet) and device with device is so easily synchronize.
✔ The Polymer Display
Do you know what polymer display is, huh? It's an elastic display where the display can be folder like paper, the material and prototype is already there but the current constraint is how to put the powerful chips inside safely.
✔ Machine Translation
The translation at the future would be so promising. Thanks to the increase of computer's intelligence and powerful software. The translation at the future will translate what we inputted to the machine that can be voice, text, graphic in seamlessy.
✔ User Interface
The fenomenal keyboard and mouse would become a footnote in history where no one would want to use it. The future UI would be touch interface, where your fingers is your pointing device.
